Rainy Day

It seems that we have finally moved into cooler weather as today arrived with gentle rain and a welcomed coolness after a stinking, hot summer.  Hope once again wrangled her way into our bed with much niggling at 5am but the bonus of her sleeping in bed with us is that she wakes up much later in the day so we had a 8am start ...woohoo!  I dressed Hope up in a blue jersey and her new tracksuit pants (pink booties were all that indicated she's a girl) and off we went to La Leche League (breastfeeding support organisation).  The meeting was rather random but it was nice to see our new friends Julie-Anne and baby Georgia and afterwards we visited my aunt and uncle and then Grampa. Hope found shoulders to doze on throughout the day so I watched beautiful smooshed lips and angel lashes today.

Later in the afternoon we had a tea party at a friend's home and we all clutched onto our bubba's and fed them and rocked them to sleep (although Hope was a rebel and pooed twice and whipped away her blanket after I thought she was out for the count).  The other bubbas behaved more sensibly :P

So here is the thing about rainy days, baby's seem to sleep more, eat less and are generally much more chilled...I used to hate rainy days but after a lazy day today I suspect this will soon be a thing of the past...so hooray for rainy days to refresh our parched land; new found friends; sleepy bubbas and early bedtimes.
